Does your child love to build? Are they a fan of the Monsters vs. Aliens movie franchise? This weekend, Lowe's is having a Build & Grow Workshop to build a Monsters vs. Aliens Trolley. Lowe's Build and Grow workshops are free and include the craft, a free apron, goggles, a patch and more.
The Build & Grow workshop is on Saturday, August 9 at 10a. Advance registration is available online.
The Monsters vs. Aliens theme will continue on Saturday, August 24 with Monsters vs. Aliens Robot. This workshop will also be at 10a. Registration is not yet available, for this date, so I suggest checking back over the next week.
Lowe's holds Build and Grow workshops on select Saturdays throughout the year. For the 2013 holiday season, they will be having a Train Engine Workshop on Saturday, December 14 from 10-11a.
Kids will be able to build a Train Engine complete with Rub & Smell Stickers. This craft is so cute. Unfortunately, all of the stores near me have already reached capacity. Maybe you'll have better luck where you live.

Lowe's is continuing their Pixar themed Build & Grow Projects this summer. After a few Monsters University themed projects, they will have a Toy Story themed project the week of July 27-28.

Advance registration for this event is now available on the Lowe's Build and Grow website. (And as normal, the store nearest me is the only one in my region which is booked).
The weekend the movie is released, kids can build a Monsters University Chest on Saturday, June 22 at 10a and Sunday, June 23 at 2p. Registration begins on Wednesday, June 5.

Lowe's will be celebrating Mother's Day with their next Build and Grow Clinic. Kids will have the opportunity to make a Sweetheart frame on Saturday, May 11 in advance of Mother's Day on the 12th.
I recommend registering as soon as possible. The store nearest me is sold out and the other one in our town only has a few slots left.
They have not yet released their summer schedule, but I will share it with you when it is released. In the meantime, you can check the Home Depot schedule which offers building workshops the first of the month.

On Saturday, February 2 from 9a-noon kids can build a Valentine Card Holder at Home Depot.
On Saturday, February 9 at 10a kids can build a Wheel of Love. Sign up now if you are interested. My local store is already out of slots for this project (although we can drive across town).

Lowe's typically runs FREE Build and Grow workshops for kids twice a month. The events are FREE and include the craft, an apron to take home, a workshop patch, safety goggles, and a completion certificate. There are a limited number of slots per store, so be sure to pre-register as soon as you can.

On Saturday, November 17 and Saturday, December 1 they will feature crafts from the upcoming Dreamworks movie Rise of the Guardians.
The craft on Saturday, November 17 will feature North's Sleigh. The December 1 craft will features Sandman's Plane. I recommend registering as soon as possible to reserve your slot.
