My daughter loved Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs (on subsequent viewing) and is excited for the second movie which is being released this Friday, September 27, 2013.

My daughter has learned about the Scaredy Squirrel series of books by Melanie Watt at school. This summer when she finished her summer reading program at the library, she selected a Scaredy Squirrely book as her reward. I tried to dissuade her from the choice since the book is well below her reading level. However, in the end I realized she might as well select it since I certainly wouldn't spend money on the book.

Get a Sneak Peek of Disney's new Henry Hugglemonster Series

Disney Junior has a new show, Henry Hugglemonster, which premiers on Monday, April 15 at 5p/4c on Disney Junior the Channel.

Henry Hugglemonster is based on the children's book I'm a Happy Hugglewug: Laugh and Play the Hugglewug Way by Niamh Sharkey. Henry Hugglemonster premiered on Disney Junior in the UK in February.

Has your child seen Doc McStuffins on the Disney or Disney Junior channel? My daughter (age 7) had outgrown the Disney Junior shows before the premier of Doc McStuffins. However my nieces (age 3 & 5) love Doc McStuffins. They both received doctor's coats and Doc McStuffins

Doc McStuffins is the iTunes TV Show of the week. iTunes is giving away a FREE Episode. The FREE Episode is Out of the Box/Run-Down Race Car which was the premier episode on March 23, 2012.

Free Dora the Explorer Episodes - First Day of School and More

In the First Day of School episode of Dora the Explorer, Boots and Tico head for their first day of school EVER.

This episode is currently free on iTunes. This will be a great episode to have for your child before they start school in the fall whether they are starting kindergarten at a new school or maybe younger and starting preschool for the first time. Free iTunes episodes are sometimes only free for a limited time, so I recommend "purchasing" the episode now.

Bark, Bark to Play Park, Dora's Jack in the Box, Dora Had a Little Lamb, and ABC Animals are also currently being offered for free.

Bark, Bark to Play Park is about Twins Day at Play Park and Dora will introduce her dog Perrito to his twin he hasn't seen since they were newborn pups.

In Dora's Jack in the Box, she is looking for a gift to cheer up her twin brother and sister who have been sick. She finds a dusty jack in the box on a high shelf at the toy store.

In Dora Had a Little Lamb, Dora and Boots wander through fairy tale land helping Little Lamb find her way back to Mary while also helping the Itsy Bitsy Spider, Humpty Dumpty and Peter Piper.

The animals are missing from the ABC book in ABC Animals. Dora and Boots travel through the book to find the letters.
