Meijer Offers Free Youth Hunting Licenses

Free licenses available in stores across five states with print or mPerks digital coupon

Who: Meijer
What: For the fifth consecutive year, Grand Rapids, Mich.-based retailer Meijer is providing young hunters across its five-state footprint with free youth hunting licenses. Meijer shoppers can redeem their print coupon or mPerks digital coupon for a youth hunting license in-store from Sept. 13-14. The popular free license program at Meijer is unique to the Midwest retailer, which currently operates 203 supercenters and grocery stores throughout Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois and Kentucky.
When & Where: Coupons are valid on Sept. 13-14 in all Meijer stores with the exception of the four suburban Chicago stores in Niles, Orland Park, Melrose Park and Evergreen Park, which do not currently sell hunting licenses.

Monsters University Activity Sheets - Now in Theaters

Disclaimer: I was invited to a free screening of Monsters University in order to review it. Activity sheets and pictures have been provided by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures for me to share with you.

Monsters University is now in Theaters. My daughter and I enjoyed Monsters University and definitely recommend it. Before you head out to see it (or after you have enjoyed the movie), check out these cool activity sheets.

The activities include:

• Archie on the Loose where you have to pin the MU badge on Archie the Scare pig - similar to pin the tail on the donkey.
• Design an MU ID - Kids can design their own Monsters University ID with their own monster design
• Test Your Memory - A printable memory game
• Design Your Own School Crest - Kids can design their own crest and slogan for a school
• Spot the Difference - Spot the differences in two Monsters University images
• Coloring Sheet - Color the monsters of Oozma Kappa Fraternity

Celebrations Today

Happy 3rd Birthday to Elmo!! Celebrate at participating Borders Stores at 11 am. Celebrate with stories, games, and more. Elmo will be there in spirit, but is not making personal appearances.

Do you live near a Meijer? Today is their Dr Seuss-a-thon from 11a-2p. There will be giveaways, readings, and prizes. Plus, all Dr Seuss books are 50% off the list price.

Today is also Free Pretzel Day at Auntie Anne's from 10a-3p.
